The Team is proud to announce that both Paul Moslin and Guy Westgate have been awarded a coveted ‘BGA Diploma’.
Paul’s Diploma is in recognition of both his personal efforts and those of the RAF Gliding and Soaring Association (RAFGSA) that he represents as Chief Tech, with assisting the BGA through the new processes of EASA Transitions and EASA C of As
Guy’s Diploma is in recognition for raising the profile of the sport. Aside from leading the Team’s breathtaking display routines, Guy also works tirelessly behind the scenes at many airshows – flying competition winners and working with local gliding clubs so they can benefit from the Team’s publicity. He also provides aerobatic coaching and instruction to both new and established competition pilots.
BGA Diplomas were presented on Saturday 20th March at the British Gliding Association annual conference, held at the Barcelo hotel in Daventry. Paul received his certificate during the day, but Guy was unfortunately working abroad, so team pilots Ian Gallacher and Mike Newman swapped flying suits for dinner jackets to attend the evening event and accept the award from BGA Chief Exec Pete Stratten (pictured middle)
The BGA will work more closely with the team in 2010 in a cohesive effort to increase publicity of the sport so close to the teams heart.
